It wasn’t the flashiest spot we’d been to, but it was the most fun; we spent the whole evening chatting with the owners at the bar and had a blast. Breakfast was tasty and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful.

We flew in from Australia, stayed one night at Causeway Tavern before heading to Rathlin Island, and it was great. Mark and Michaela were excellent hosts, kept our three‑year‑old entertained, and we had a blast chatting at their bar, sharing stories and even bringing take‑away food in. Breakfast the next morning was superb.

The room and breakfast were fabulous, the cozy little bar was nice, and Mikaela was a joy to talk with, but Mark was completely overbearing with his jokes and quizzes, making it awkward and uncomfortable to sit there with his constant grabbing of phones, touching, and rude jokes.

The breakfast was lovely and cooked, and the location is close to Dunseverick Castle, the waterfall, and the Causeway Rambler bus that connects you to all the North Coast sights. Not much else was ideal for a short overnight stay.
