I had an amazing stay at Animal Surf Point! The location is absolutely perfect—right by the ocean and just a few steps from the best surf spots in Ahangama. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. A special thanks to Kapila for the warm hospitality and for making me feel so welcome. Thank you for everything! I’ll definitely come back ❤️

The spot’s location is spot‑on, tucked between Thilenis (skip the cocktails) and The French Bistro, and there’s a small garden with an outdoor shower by a tree that locals seem to use. Two rooms offer tables and settees outside under cover, with an outdoor fan—though one fan was a bit unreliable. The kitchen comes with a large fridge and kettle, and both rooms boast huge beds and AC. On the downside, the kitchen is only for dishes and cutlery; there are no pots, pans, a gas hob, or an oven, so cooking is impossible. The beds are so large that bedside tables can’t fit, and all light switches are awkwardly placed at the back of the bed. There’s no power outlet in the sink and it didn’t drain. The overhead shower is broken and only cold water comes out. Room 1, the cheaper option, had no fan, while Room 2 is bigger but darker. The owner treated the place like his own and often sat at a table outside our room smoking—sometimes with friends—which felt uncomfortable. He used a small white bowl as an ashtray that I kept emptying and ended up using for yogurt in the morning!

EPIC LITTLE SPOT!!! If you’re staying in Ahangama, this place is off the main drag right by the Sea with an epic coffee shop and restaurants right next door. The owner is amazing and really looked after me. If you surf, this is the spot for you. Nothing negative.

The location is amazing. The owner is friendly. But it wasn’t what we expected; it wasn’t very clean, there were a lot of hairs in the shower and on the floor. Many things need to be changed; it was very weak. I felt it didn’t justify the price I paid, unfortunately.

I spent 8 days at Animal Surf Point right in the heart of Ahangama and highly recommend this place. The location is great – close to the beach and all the city’s amenities. The room was spacious and clean, and there was also a kitchen available. The place has a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a surf stay. The owner is very kind and helpful – thanks to him I tried surfing for the first time. Definitely a place with good energy that I’d gladly return to. Nothing negative.
