Haus Leutner is a small but very pretty inn. We were welcomed warmly. Frau Ronsberger is absolutely lovely. She had an answer for every question and plenty of tips for activities, with or without the mountains ;0) The balcony had two chairs, a small table, and even a tiny plant stand. The room also had a compact kitchenette with a fridge—really great and the perfect size. We had to rearrange the room a bit because of our dog, but that was no problem for anyone. Towels were available on request whenever we needed new ones. Breakfast was good too, with various sausages, cheeses, jam, Nutella, and you could cook an egg yourself to get it just the way you like it. The house also has an attached beauty salon. We treated ourselves to a foot care session, which was absolutely superb! The coffee machine at breakfast was broken, but that wasn’t a big issue. It still dispensed warm milk, and we could add freshly brewed coffee from Frau Ronsberger ourselves.

Bodenmais is always worth a trip. The house is close to the city center and serves as a good base for many hikes. The Ronsberger family are very friendly landlords and give plenty of useful regional tips. We’ll come back, Jana and Dirk.
