“Overall, great place to call home for a short or long stay!”
The hosts were kind, helpful, and patient, often treating me to home‑cooked food, which made me feel safe as a solo traveler. The kitchen was fully equipped for my three‑week stay with a stove top, boiler, blender, fridge/freezer, and pans. The air‑con worked well on humid days and there was hot water for the shower. They run a small shop in front, have a washing machine, and a tuktuk, so getting a ride or a snack was easy. They even drove me to a week‑long yoga training and were always punctual. The place sits in a quiet residential pocket, yet it’s only a 10‑minute walk to the beach and restaurants, and the patio was lovely for watching monkeys and birds. I didn’t realize hot water was available until the last couple of days because of a switch outside the washroom, so a quick walk‑through would have helped. The neighborhood roads are dark with many potholes, so I had to be extra careful on my bike at night.
