The internet is good, the kitchen is handy, and the staff are friendly, though they only speak Spanish, which still works.
“Beautiful little art hostel with good facilities and comfortable beds”
Staying inside the art gallery gives a really cool vibe, plus the courtyard and café are beautiful, and there are plenty of interesting sculptures and historical pieces to enjoy. Just make sure you check availability and working days ahead of time.
Good location, clean and quiet. Hostel confirmed 5 individual rooms but on arrival they had only 2 shared and one individual room for us. They managed to get us an additional one but one group member had to book a room in a nearby hotel. Definitely not what we were expecting after a long day on the road
“A very cool place to stay as it’s a former nun monastery turned hostel and cultural center.”
They really try to give you a private room whenever possible, and most rooms come with a bunk bed; if the place isn’t full, they’ll let just one person stay in a room. The fridge is a bit tiny, though.
“Eine Energie zum runterfahren”
The atmosphere was very pleasant and the quiet location tempted me to extend my stay by another night, giving me a chance to linger and collect my thoughts. The on‑site café served a superb breakfast that cost just $2.75 for two people. The only drawback was that the room had a single power outlet, and the adapters provided were too bulky to use with a fan, making it impossible to run one; a longer extension cord for every room would have solved the problem.
