“Du Costa Rica à Alma!:”
We loved the river view and felt right at home. We couldn’t evaluate the staff because we never saw any team members, but everything seemed under control.
The bed was super comfy and the air‑conditioner ran whisper‑quiet, which made for good sleep. I never actually met any staff – the key was just left in a mailbox, and there was no one around to answer questions. A heads‑up about the roadworks on the main street would have helped, especially for cyclists needing to detour.
The room was comfortable and the neighborhood pleasant, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. Breakfast, however, was limited to a sandwich; a few more options like toast with jam would have been nice.

The house was completely private, though it offered no view at all. We ran into a string of annoyances – the patio door wouldn’t budge, the TV was useless, and I found a washcloth perched on a dirty showerhead. There was no soap, no table towels, the fan’s light was missing and the upstairs stair lights had no switch, and the top gable is plain enough to bang your head on. To top it off, breakfast wasn’t included on the second night of our two‑night stay.

The spot is wonderfully quiet, sitting right on the water and the whole place is spotless. It felt like a little oasis away from the hustle, perfect for just relaxing.
