“A bit run down”
The location was great, but the furnishings were very worn and clearly needed replacing.

The hotel was close to small shops and restaurants, offered a nice view of the golf course, and was clean, yet it really needed updating: the furniture was old and threadbare, tables were chipped, there was no fan in the bathroom, and the carpet was threadbare and old.

The fireplace was broken, the kitchen tools were minimal—no cutting board, no cutting knives, only two forks, two knives, and two spoons—furniture was run down, the TV wasn’t connected to cable, and we had to handle everything ourselves.

The central location, the many sports options and the pool, plus a sauna (even though it’s a dry sauna)! The downside is that there is no housekeeping if you stay six nights. You have to beg for daily coffee pods, the reception is old‑fashioned, and overall it’s a bit dated.

I appreciated the natural surroundings and the restaurants at Eagle Crest. However, you’ll need a car or bike to get around the resort, as most spots are about a 15‑minute walk away. The shuttle is unreliable, cash‑only, so bringing your own car is highly recommended.
