“Nice place but a bit far very safe.”

In a safe area surrounded by all the embassies. The staff were amazing—kind and caring. At the gate the guard always greets you with a warm smile. The front desk was helpful with advice on where to go and what to do. The facilities need updating. The bathroom was so old that the shower head had no place to hang the tub and the tub was cracked. I came for breakfast at 9:30 and it looked horrible—empty containers, tables missing silverware that you had to go from table to table to get. One morning there was literally nothing, so I asked for just vegetables and hard‑boiled eggs and that was the best breakfast I had there. The next morning I asked for it again and the answer was you can get the eggs but not the fresh vegetables because today we have cooked vegetables. I understand you serve African style, but you have guests from all over the world coming to the embassy. If you have a western style on your menu it would be great to have fresh vegetables and some options for breakfast.

“A reasonable choice in Nairobi with drawbacks.”

The property is attractive, quiet, safe, with grass and gardening. The staff are helpful, the quality is reasonable for the cost, and breakfast is good. The room is small and dark, and the bathroom needs a good cleaning and plumbing rework.

The garden and the pool are very nice. Breakfast and dinner were very good. The rooms should be renovated urgently.

The staff are friendly and kind, and they’re willing to help with tours and car services. The rooms are nicely cleaned and the bed is very comfortable. The complimentary water bottles are appreciated. The location is convenient to the UN complex and to the shopping mall next door. It feels secure with a locked gate and guard. Breakfast is good enough and the staff servicing breakfast are friendly. My original booking was not honoured, despite having made the booking almost 11 months in advance and having confirmed directly with the hotel on a couple of occasions after that (3 months and one week before arriving). I had obtained a good deal on a large Executive Suite with balcony overlooking the garden/pool area – that was the reason I chose the hotel – but on arrival, I was told that only 3 standard rooms/studios remained available. The ‘best’ choice available was a regular room with no balcony and looking out at the back‑area parking lot behind the hotel. Nothing like the private suite I had reserved! The room was clean and adequate, but the bathroom was small and dark (lighting overall is very low). The water in the shower was either burning hot or freezing cold and it was not possible to find a warm temperature. The Wi‑Fi was unreliable. Most of all, I was not at all impressed with the fact that my original booking was not honoured. However, given the shortage of rooms available in the area, I had no choice but to accept whatever was given to me. I think it is in poor faith to overbook rooms or to give the better room at higher prices to other customers when it is already reserved. Reservations should be respected at the price listed upon booking. I am afraid to say that I would not book here again for fear of being left without a room at all!

“It felt warm and comfortable”

The hotel is well located in a quiet area next to the Village Market, so there are lots of restaurants and shops, including a gym. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, and the place felt good. It was ok.
