The hospitality is wonderful. The food is tasty. Swinging in a hammock while looking at the rice fields feels great. Most of all, I enjoyed chatting with other guests and the owner.

I stayed in Room A with my family and the place felt spacious and beautifully decorated; it really captured the feel of an authentic Japanese home. The host, Katsu, was wonderful and his suggestions were spot on, which was especially helpful since we arrived on a whim. We enjoyed the Ozu ukai together, and he even took the kids out to pick tomatoes and cucumbers in the garden.

The location is fantastic, surrounded by a beautiful basin view with trains occasionally passing by, and the night sky is full of stars. The meals were homemade by the owner—tuna rice with an extra order of satsuma soup—delivered outside in twilight, which felt like pure luxury. After dark, fireworks lit up the sky, giving it a summer vacation vibe. Thank you, owner.

We had a great time here; the owner was an amazing host who cooked delicious meals for both dinner and breakfast, and we were also treated to excellent sake—a generous and thoughtful touch. It’s truly a wonderful place, and we highly recommend it!
