The outdoor spaces are just fantastic; we were there with very few other people. We had a king‑size bedroom, and the space around the bed was a little tight but manageable. The years that went into designing the living spaces really show what would have been loved today. The word “relax” was the mantra, as Bernie put it. The floor in the shower was a little slippery; you probably need something to make it less slippery.

“If you’re looking for a quiet, well maintained environment away from the hustle and bustle- you found it!”

The place was lush and private, exactly the peaceful zen area I needed, and felt more resort‑like. My only complaint was that the air was too cold at night, so I requested a cooler. The host brought a fan that helped, and she also noticed that the unit in my room needed maintenance and promptly fixed it.

“Wonderful get away, don't hesitate if you want to slow down and enjoy Pupukea for a few days.”

The property is well maintained, well laid out, and very comfortable. It’s conveniently close to beaches, a grocery store, and other nearby spots. Bernie and Maria, the family owners, were very supportive and helpful. For the North Shore of Oahu, this is an affordable option!

The host Berni was a real highlight; we felt right at home from the moment we arrived, and he took the time to drive us around to the must‑see spots.

“Definitely awesome place, facilities, gorgeous garden, close by beach and sweet, kind owners”

I liked how self‑catering was set up – spices, coffee, fridge, stove, all the kitchen essentials, plus extras that came free with the package, which made me very happy. The bunk bed made me hit my head a few times when getting in, but that’s just how dorms work, and I chose the room myself because it was cheaper for me as a budget traveler.
