The room is great size and the location is handy. Booking was hard; I tried to book directly but couldn’t, and when I called they weren’t very helpful.

“Lovely Location, terrible Hospitality Skills by Property Managment”

The location is good. Our stay began wonderfully. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. We were genuinely impressed on arrival and expected a fantastic stay. Unfortunately, that changed completely because of a serious security incident. While we were inside our private, self‑contained studio, another group of guests unlocked and opened our door using their access code. Imagine sitting in your accommodation only to have strangers walk in because the access system failed. Aside from the obvious shock, it immediately raised concerns about the safety of our passports, cash, valuables and personal belongings. I reported the incident immediately. The first staff member I spoke to was courteous, understanding and assured me that the matter would be addressed. Sadly, the follow‑up call from the property manager was the complete opposite. Rather than acknowledging the seriousness of the situation or offering reassurance, I was interrupted repeatedly, given what appeared to be speculative explanations, and made to feel as though my concerns were an inconvenience. When I explained that both the security breach and the way it had been handled would be reflected in my review, I was told, “Write whatever you want.” Everyone makes mistakes, and I appreciate that operational issues can happen. What disappointed me most was not the incident itself, but the complete lack of empathy, accountability and professionalism in dealing with it. A property entrusted with guests’ safety should have robust access controls, and when something goes wrong, guests should expect understanding, reassurance and ownership of the issue. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. It’s a real shame because the accommodation itself is lovely, but a serious security failure combined with such an unprofessional response has shadowed what could have been an excellent stay.

“Cosy, comfortable and convenient”

Very cosy, loved the gas fire. The bed was really comfortable. A bit more kitchen equipment would have been helpful, e.g. knives, crockery, etc.

The old‑world charm and location were great. There was no personal service. Check‑in was fully automated and felt robotic.

This place has a lot going for it - the property is great, with a lovely atmosphere and everything you need. However, the wifi was a bit of a letdown, often dropping in and out. It was frustrating, but not enough to ruin our stay.
