We loved the views from Room 6 (right on Kirkgate) as well as the overal location in "James Herriot's Yorkshire."The room was beautiful, roomy, and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience to stay there. We wished there had been laundry available on-site (since we stayed for several days on an even longer journey). Also, every room should have an iron and ironing board so we don't look wrinkled and worn!

The spot was spot on, just a short walk from the town centre, and free parking was a nice perk. Room 9 was clean and roomy, but the price of £187/night felt steep, especially since breakfast isn’t offered. There were no hosts on site; all communication went through texts and emails. The room stayed hot, one window wouldn’t open at all and the other only a few inches, and the bed was so low that getting out was a struggle. The tea and coffee station only had three milk sachets, and the oatmeal milk tasted awful in the single cup we managed to brew.

I’m grateful to the hosts; their communication was flawless, and I’ll be back soon.

The accommodation was very clean and the location was great for both the town centre and the racecourse. The room was quite warm, and the fan wasn’t doing much, so it might not always feel that way.
