“Riverside retreat”

The accommodation was very cosy, with a log fire that I loved, and the location and environment were excellent. Heating and hot water were plentiful and effective, and the bed, though small, was comfortable with good quality bedding. Some kitchen equipment was missing—no scissors, a broken cafetiere, and no outside lights. The promised eggs never arrived, and there was no contact with any staff after arrival, no welcome pack, and the decorations and furnishings felt tired.

The chalet was absolutely brilliant, clean and cosy, and so peaceful. We especially enjoyed a brief visit from the small dog that lives on the property, who was very good with the kids.

The location was absolutely stunning, a pure bliss if you’re looking for a quiet spot surrounded by nature. The cottage was very comfortable and well thought through; we didn’t want to leave and it was probably one of the best rests we’ve had for a while.

“Wonderful place - will definitely return in the future!”

The design, location, and spaciousness of the place were wonderful, and the fireplace was great. I didn’t know at the time that it was at a river where you can go trout fishing if you bring gear, and the place has a fishing license. The hot tub was initially empty on arrival, so filling it and heating it via the fireplace was a big hassle. We were told the caretaker would pop in with a few eggs from the farm, but that didn’t happen. Other than that, everything was perfect.
