The owner runs the place herself and is a genuinely nice lady who gives excellent tips about local spots, weather, routes, especially for a trip to Vinicunca (the 7‑color mountain). The accommodation is modest and basic, so set your expectations accordingly. The only drawback is that there is a single restroom for all rooms, and you have to descend curved stairs to reach it, but the water temperature and pressure are perfect.

The facility is basic yet clean, and the shared toilet downstairs is tidy with a hot shower. The host is very knowledgeable about the area, offered plenty of great suggestions, and organized taxis for our excursions. While many guests stay just one night to visit the famous Rainbow Mountain, I’d recommend extending your stay to 3‑5 days to explore the various rainbow mountains and hikes in the region—they’re stunningly beautiful!

Yahneth was sweet and helpful. The price is far too high for the value. There were issues with the hot water, the building was worn out, and the shared bathroom was outside.

The host was amazing, assisting with everything from secure parking to cash withdrawals and planning our route to Rainbow Mountain, Red Valley, and Ausangate. It’s an excellent base camp, with a good early breakfast before hikes, and we also enjoyed a nice dinner at the property. The bathroom downstairs/outside was clean and had hot water, though it was located outside.
