The place sits right near the airport and the parking outside worked fine. The room matched the description and was very comfortable, though getting in was a bit awkward with all the coded doors, but it was still manageable. I’d come back.

The atelier boutique team were truly amazing! When my husband’s suitcase didn’t arrive in Kota Kinabalu, the staff called and arranged for a late‑night shop so we could buy more essentials. Their help was huge. Checking in was super smooth and everything had been coordinated via WhatsApp beforehand. The rooms were spotless and fully equipped. The airport is super close, and downstairs there are plenty of food spots and shops. The only drawback was the soundproofing: the walls were great, but the windows were thin and we could hear planes nonstop; earplugs would have solved that.

Instructions were clear and the office responded promptly; the room suits backpackers or couples, though I don’t think it’s ideal for families. If you’re staying with friends, it’s fine. The lift entrance passes by a mamak restaurant and the room faces the main road, so you’ll hear motorcycle races at night and hear people chatting at the mamak.
