“NOT SAFE FOR WOMAN TARVELLING ALONE”
The views are fantastic and the location is great, but it’s so isolated. I stayed in one of the Cajupi’ cottages while camping. I was traveling alone and arrived late in the evening. The host started making subtle but strange comments like “you’re the only woman here but don’t worry, I’ll protect you,” and followed me to the WC (which wasn’t in the cottage). When I noticed the wall was broken and asked for another cottage, he told me I could put a chair to protect me and that he would sleep in front of my door. He kept walking around my porch and I also saw a lantern behind my cottage. I left because I felt insecure and harassed. I don’t recommend it for solo travelers, especially women.
