The staff and fellow guests were all friendly, which was great. The location is close to the station and convenient. There’s a parking area nearby, so parking isn’t a problem.

The spot in Saga is spot‑on, just a few minutes on foot from the station, giving easy access to most buses and trains. The place was very clean. I slept in the four‑bedroom room for women, and it felt secure and comfortable. A kitchen and a small fridge were available for guests. The owner was very kind and attentive if you needed anything. The bathroom lacks a proper sink; it’s so tiny it’s only good for hand washing, so you have to use the kitchen sink to wash your face or brush your teeth. Check‑in isn’t before 4 pm, and you can’t drop off luggage earlier because the hostel is closed. I had to wait two hours at the station before check‑in because I couldn’t move around with my bags. The street can be a bit noisy; the building is old, so it rattles when a bus or truck passes. The staircase is narrow and there’s no elevator, so traveling with a suitcase is tricky. The owner can help lift your bag at check‑in, but he won’t be there to help at check‑out.

The location is good, close to Saga station and cheap. 1. No luggage storage, which is absurd for a place that hosts tourists. 2. The bed feels like it’s made from cheap plywood; after a while the air feels bad—people with hay fever or throat irritation should avoid it. 3. Even though the room stays cool, closing the curtain makes it stuffy. 4. Two small windows on the wall of the bed are unknown in purpose; morning sun is harsh, and the curtain is very translucent. 5. There’s a bar downstairs, so you need earplugs to sleep. 6. Compared to the lack of an elevator, moving luggage isn’t a huge issue. 7. The mixed dorm beds share space with the common area and don’t even have a door—though it’s a simple accommodation, it’s too basic.

Walking to Saga station takes about 5–8 minutes, not too far, and the surroundings are clean, giving the vibe of staying at a Japanese friend’s house—very retro. The room is on the second floor, no elevator, so large luggage is a bit of a hassle, but the staff will help you. Soundproofing isn’t great; being near the main road means cars affect you, and on a rainy morning you can feel the rain inside the room.
