The room offered a view of the lake, the pleasant evening terrace had the sound of birds, the affordable beer was great, and there were tasty ice creams and Belgian chocolate for sale.

Wyndham is worth praising only for the time you spend there; everything else was simply superb. The only nuance is to choose a room with a lake view rather than a road view—you’ll sleep in absolute silence and have an Instagram‑worthy view of the lake. There is always parking right under the hotel. Driving to the pier for boats at Akhtamar takes 20 minutes.

I stayed here for one night while traveling to Van and was thoroughly impressed; the rooms are very spacious, modern, and spotless, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The morning view of Van Lake was fantastic. Huge thanks to the extremely friendly and helpful staff for the excellent hospitality from arrival to check‑out. The breakfast was varied and tasty. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation because of its location and outstanding service, and I look forward to returning.

The location was okay, though 9 km from the city centre, and I chose it deliberately, so I have nothing to complain about; the breakfast was very good with a wide selection. The lake view was nice and direct. The room smelled of cigarette smoke; supposedly it’s a no‑smoking place, yet there are ashtrays everywhere, even in the room. The room had a coffee/tea set but only one cup, and there were no water glasses at all. While sitting on the terrace we had to hunt for a waiter, and one drink and one beer cost a lot. Currency exchange from EUR to TRY at the reception was at a very unfavorable rate. They did offer a plate of fruit in the room as an apology, but that was not what I expected.
