The place felt clean, was inexpensive, and was close to the nightlife.

The price of 4,000 yen was a relief compared to the usually high rates of business hotels in Kushiro, apparently because of a Nitori Ladies Golf deal. I thought the map showed it was outside the city, but it turned out to be less than 10 minutes walk from the downtown and the parking was free. The owner’s older sister had traveled the world in the old days and her stories were very interesting. A quiet dog inside the hotel left a lot of fur on the hallway and there was a faint smell. The rooms seemed to have two bunk beds each, but the one I stayed in had an extra tier, making it cramped. Will they let you stay there again?
