We stayed here again after our Mt Fuji hike because it sits directly across from Kawaguchiko station. The staff were welcoming and let us stash luggage after checkout. The room was very clean and I enjoyed the visit. We will definitely return next time. The air conditioning took a long time to cool the room during the day, but it worked well while we slept. Other than that, we appreciated every aspect of the property.

It’s an old-fashioned training camp, but it’s kept clean and the staff were kind. It’s a shame that the location is only great on sunny days. The underground ping‑pong table and dining area had few users, so it was helpful with a large group. The facility is more of a camp with shared toilets and a big bath, and there was a separate shower room for foreigners.

I appreciated that they were already waiting for us even though we arrived very early after a night bus journey.

We stayed there to hike Mt Fuji during the week of September 6‑9, but the weather turned out terrible, so we had to reschedule our hike; the owner was incredibly helpful, calling the official, arranging taxis and bus services, and overall he’s a very nice person.
