“Increíble estancia!!!”
The staff were attentive, the place was clean and efficient, but I would have liked daily deep cleaning.

The location in Gion is excellent, the room is spacious for Japan, and there’s a laundry facility on the premises, yet the layout isn’t ideal and the bed feels a bit small for someone 185cm tall.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was great in a nice, quiet neighbourhood with good transport links, and the family room offered plenty of space. The kitchen wasn’t really suitable for cooking, and we couldn’t see outside from the room. We were unsure if the tap water was drinkable, so we were directed to the communal water dispenser, which was a bit inconvenient. Cups, plates and cutlery were awkwardly stored.

The staff were kind, warm and truly helpful. The room felt like a small apartment, beautiful and fully equipped. The beds were comfortable with several pillows, and the bathroom had two sinks and a separate toilet area. There was a small room with an extra bed, plus three beds and two large sofas that could double as beds, which let us unpack more comfortably. We made bread twice (in the evening) using the supplied ingredients and bread machine; it was easy and pleasant to add to the breakfast of several tasty spreads. The provided lunch sushi box was good, but since it had been refrigerated since the previous morning, the sushi were quite dry and served without accompaniment. We bought sauces and pickled ginger from the shop opposite. A small issue at the start: the hotel lobby was in the basement, so we had to climb several stairs with our luggage when leaving, without assistance. There is no view from the windows and you have to keep the blinds closed because the windows face the outer corridor where people can walk by.

The in‑room breakfast with homemade bread was not for us; we would have preferred a breakfast room. We didn’t realize this when booking and would have definitely skipped breakfast otherwise.
