At first, the staff were sometimes polite, but the water problem hit right when we left, even after telling management ahead of time. I’d put that as the last point and end on a strong note. ⭐ A very disappointing experience – tourists should know I’d not recommend Maison Jannate Louise in Marrakech, especially for those expecting the service and facilities advertised. I booked all-inclusive, yet the reality was far from it: 1. Food & water – despite paying for all-inclusive, I had to repeatedly ask and basically beg staff for food. The menu was tiny, with only about five items, many just variations of tagine. Only one small bottle of water per day was given. 2. Communication – staff spoke very little English. If you stay here, bring Google Translate. When I raised concerns, the manager, who speaks some English, got visibly angry instead of handling the issues professionally. 3. Electricity & water – power cut every day around 10am and stayed off until about 4pm. During that time there was also no water, so I had to charge phones and plan around the daily outages. 4. Cats around the property – several cats roamed the dining area. On more than one occasion they approached or jumped at food while guests ate. I found this extremely scary, and when I mentioned it, staff just laughed instead of taking it seriously. 5. Security & access – security was concerning. An elderly gentleman handled it, and on several occasions I had to knock repeatedly and wait a long time before being let in. 6

The house is pretty, the staff are friendly, breakfast is hearty, and a surprise birthday cake for my husband was appreciated. Too many water cuts ruined our stay. With the heat, we were nine and the constant outages were unbearable. A restaurant menu in local currency would be welcome.
