Hotel Della Torre, a family‑run property just 150 m from Lake Maggiore, offers spacious, air‑conditioned rooms with private balconies and satellite TV, many overlooking the lake or surrounding mountains. Guests enjoy an outdoor pool with Jacuzzi, sun loungers, beach towels and a snack bar. The hotel sits a five‑minute walk from the train station, near ferries to the Borromean Islands, and a 20‑minute promenade stroll to Stresa centre.

Everything was great: the location, the room, the staff, the view… It was expensive but so good and worth recommending. The street noise was a downside.

Marco at the front desk and Mario the bartender were both kind and went the extra mile. The bedroom had a lake view, the ambience, comfort, bathroom, linen, and housekeeping were all great. The pool was already closed for the season, which was disappointing and wasn’t mentioned on the website. I was lucky to have two nights out of four with no guests next door, so I didn’t hear everything because the walls were thin. The breakfast was good but lacked fresh fruit variety. The main waiter was efficient but never smiled when greeting. The crew seemed tired and overworked, guessing at the scheduled hours.

L’emplacement. La chambre réservée n’était pas disponible. Une chambre surclassée nous a été proposée au dessus du carrefour très bruyant que nous avons refusée. Nous avons dû dormir dans une chambre défraîchie avant d’obtenir celle retenue. Restaurant: même pas digne d’une cantine universitaire. Arrivés à 20h15 , nous avons dû nous contenter des restes (froids). Nous avons fait part de notre mécontentement à la réception (très serviable) qui nous a dit passer le message à la direction. Nous n’avons eu aucun retour !
