The view of the valley of the kings was lovely, and Mohamed was kind and helpful. The room was clean, large, and comfortable. The pool was nice with loungers and umbrellas. Food was decent and served on time. The neighbourhood felt authentic and quiet, unless you’re bothered by the prayer call from the nearby mosque, but we fell asleep quickly and didn’t notice it because we were tired. The hotel is built from alabaster at 300 m (and other souvenirs) and the prices are much cheaper than the souks if you start bargaining. The Wi‑Fi was average, and the hotel was isolated with no other nearby restaurants.

The two waiters and the housekeeper were very kind. The location was just a stone’s throw from the valley of the kings. The pool was pretty, though a bit murky. Meals were decent and inexpensive, but there was a lot of waiting. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. The listing claimed a washing machine, but there wasn’t one, even though we had chosen the room partly for that; after negotiation the hotel agreed to do two loads for us. The advertised 20‑minute massage per person turned into 20 minutes for one person per room and ended up at an impossible time for us. The distance to the river is Luxor. The bedding was extremely hard. Finally there were leaks in both bathrooms, indicating a maintenance shortfall. Despite all that, the stay was still very enjoyable.
