“Priva volta in Amazzonia”
The property is very beautiful, clean and full of character; our room and bathroom were spacious and spotless, the beds were comfortable, the air‑conditioning worked well and the shower pressure was just right. The staff were extremely helpful—we used the laundry and enjoyed very cheap late‑night dinners after our hikes, and for excursions the hotel arranged everything: shortly after arriving, Louis, our go‑to guide, explained the options, schedules and costs. We booked four half‑day trips: a night walk in the forest to watch nocturnal critters, a visit to San Antonio community with forest trekking and sloth spotting, a boat ride with a swim and sunset on Lake Tarapoto, and finally a trip to Alto del Águila to see parrots, little monkeys and piranha fishing. I’d stay here again because I couldn’t have asked for more, and I’m attaching a few photos from the outings. The only drawback was the limited variety at breakfast, but that seems to be the norm across Colombia.
