“A nice hotel in a great location but one detail ruined my stay - motorbikers clearly unwelcome”
The hotel looks great after a recent renovation. The receptionists spoke little English but were very helpful and friendly. With two exceptions, the staff were friendly, smiling and professional. The buffet breakfast was especially good, rich and diverse, and the restaurant is very nice. The location is just great, within walking distance of everything in central Çankaya, with trusted taxi drivers nearby, and despite being close to many restaurants, bars and cafés, the hotel stays quiet. The garage is decent, though there’s no elevator or stairs from it into the hotel—remember to leave your luggage in the lobby *before* parking your vehicle. The central AC worked well, but in my room it was incredibly noisy—I’ve been on planes that were quieter. When I asked a floor staff member if it was normal, the reply was something like “why don’t you open the window instead?” The outside temperature was over 30°C, making it impossible to get a full night’s sleep, which was a pity because the room was very nice, well‑organized, clean and comfortable. The staff seemed unfamiliar with motorcycle travelers; at both arrival and departure they tried to shoo me away from the parking area, didn’t want me to unload luggage or park there. They became nicer once they realized I was a guest, but they were not very helpful.
