“Wonderful, no frills Ryokan experience.”
It was an unpretentious but simple Ryokan experience. I’m a dad traveling with my teenage daughter and wanted a Ryokan that wouldn’t waste our budget, so this fit perfectly for a one‑night stay. We even sent our bags ahead and just carried day packs, which was clever. The beds were the most comfortable and the overall space was larger than any other place we stayed on the trip. Nothing really went wrong; the bathroom is downstairs from the room, but that didn’t bother me because the shower was great. The staff were otherwise very nice, though one member was a bit pushy when we returned from our morning walk right before check‑out – everything was packed, we just had to walk upstairs and grab our stuff. That was the only minor gripe I could find.
