The lodge was well sized with plenty of living space in a peaceful setting, and the onsite pool was well managed. The staff were friendly. A few minor issues: the walk up the steep bank to the site facilities was tough with little ones, but nothing major. The microwave wouldn’t work and there were no instructions, though it didn’t bother us much. An information booklet about the site and local area would have been handy.

The space was good, with a large kitchen and ample bathroom size, and the decking would be great in nice weather. However, the lounge and other rooms had many broken blinds and dirty curtains. The microwave was broken, and there weren’t enough knives for six people. The oven had only one shelf, making it hard to use. WiFi on both the lodge and the park failed after the first day, and the TV signal was missing, so we couldn’t watch TV or use devices for evening entertainment. The family bathroom was unclean, with hair around the sink and shower, a smell, and mould in the shower. The blinds were covered in dead insects, were thin, and with no curtains the bedrooms let in early light. Some beds—one single in the bedroom next to the family bathroom under the window, and the master bedroom—had uncomfortable or worn mattresses. The master en‑suite was clean but had mould in the shower. Overall, the property seemed either unused for a long time or poorly cleaned and prepared, with cobwebs everywhere.

The lodge was spacious and clean, but the kitchen wasn’t fully equipped and lacked an oven shelf. The double bed was too soft and creaky.

The lodge was beautiful, very spacious, great location and clean. 3 things - 1. The microwave didn't work. 2. The shower (bathroom closest to the livingroom) drain must be clogged or something as we had a very quick shower and the water was almost overflowing. 3. The beds are very uncomfortable unfortunately. Also the towels and bedding could do with some laundry conditioner or cleanser as it smelt a bit unpleasant
