The place was fine, but there was no bar, no chair in the room, a desk stuck in front of a wardrobe, and it was far too windy, so the pool was unusable; the breakfast buffet was dull.

Santorini View in Akrotiri delivers a 3‑star stay with a heated pool overlooking the caldera, a sun terrace, and a Greek‑cuisine restaurant. Air‑conditioned rooms feature private baths, flat‑screen TVs, and soundproofing, plus a hot tub, balcony, and outdoor seating. The view and the calm were great, but I would have liked a small armchair in the room.

The view and the staff were amazing, but the hot tub was NOT a hot tub – it was a cool tub. A noisy motor below and to the right of the tub sounded like a loud engine, and it kept happening until about 10:30 pm at night.

The accommodation services were excellent for us, and another 10 stars for Ms. FOFO. Nothing.

The breakfast was perfect and the lady who served us was lovely. She even came half an hour early on our last day to feed us because of our flight. The pool and its surroundings were wonderful, great for relaxing. The hotel’s location fits well into the area. We had rented a car, so we could easily explore the whole island; the heat makes having a car handy useful, though quad rentals are also popular. Among the beaches I definitely recommend the southern Red, White, and Black beaches, reachable from Akrotiri beach by a taxi‑style boat for 15€/day. These are the cleanest beaches nearby. The Caldera beach right under the hotel is a bit lackluster and can be skipped. However, the Lost Atlantis museum is close and worth a visit. There was a slight sewage smell in the pool, but that’s probably a general island issue, not the hotel’s fault. Overall, a very great hotel!
