We booked tickets to see Peter Kay and decided to make a weekend of it, and we’re thrilled we found this brilliant guest house and will definitely return; everything was perfect: the place was spotless, the breakfast couldn’t be better, the room was quiet with a lovely comfortable bed, and all the amenities you could want, including tea and coffee making facilities, were available. The location is amazing, and you can even see the sea from the pretty seating area at the front, a great little sun trap on a nice day to watch the world go by or sip a glass of something from the bar. The Rowan is a gem of a place, and last but not least, it’s run by two great people who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Maddie and John go several extra miles to welcome everyone and make sure all their guests are happy, and they even remembered everybody’s name, which we thought was a lovely touch. Honestly we can’t fault the Rowan and can’t wait to visit again soon.

Maddie and John are amazing, and we couldn’t do enough for us; traveling as a single parent can be worrying at times, but we were made to feel so safe and welcome, which for me is a big thing. Nothing was a bother. Our room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable, and we both got an amazing sleep. The breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will absolutely be booking again. Thank you both so much for such a fantastic stay.
