“Mala experiencia”
The photos looked good, but the reality was different. The sheets were torn, the room wasn’t clean, the bathroom lacked light fixtures, and breakfast was very basic—just bread. I wouldn’t return.

Hotel Solar Norte, located on Siria Avenue near the city center, offers sleek black‑white‑brown rooms with plasma TVs, free Wi‑Fi, and air conditioning. Guests enjoy a continental breakfast, a fitness centre, and secure parking with electromagnetic locks. The 24‑hour front desk arranges shuttles to Benjamin Matienzo Airport (18 km). The building is large and pleasant, yet the cleanliness is lacking; there’s a constant sewage smell. When I arrived I had to ask for new sheets because I found the previous guest’s hair in the bedding.

The breakfast is simple, just coffee or tea, half‑moon pastries or greasy tortillas. The hotel is far from the center, on the northern entrance of San Miguel de Tucumán, right in front of the ACA, a very safe area. You can eat something at the hotel, mainly snacks and empanadas, with set hours. For dinner I recommend the area around Parque 9 de Julio, which has been revitalised, though the whole city smells of sewers. That zone hosts the best hotels, including the Sheraton with a casino on the ground floor, and the Tucumán casino, currently being renovated, with nearby renowned restaurants and steakhouses. Tucumán is a disaster—gray, constantly flooded with sewage waste, the grime is pervasive, yet there’s a significant central movement that’s unusual. Some areas are very unsafe, so caution is needed. Nearby are Tafí del Valle, Yerba Buena, Tambien, and El Cadillal. I didn’t like that the Río Loro is fenced off; the municipality allowed the access to the river to be blocked, even though no one owns that public space. Around the town there are spots to spend the day, but also litter everywhere. The people are careless. I hope this comment helps restore the Jardín de la República. Best wishes.

Everything was excellent. The staff’s kindness was a 10. The breakfast was great, the menu price was reasonable, and everything tasted very good.

The breakfast was decent and the service in the dining room was fine, but the photos made the place look ten years older than it actually is. The bathtub entrance in my room felt odd and the staff were just okay.
