The rate was cheap, but the hotel is obviously very old and in need of renovation—from stained carpets to water‑stained ceilings. Even though the rooms were non‑smoking, they still smelled like old smoking rooms. Our key didn’t work the first time, and the staff gave us a different room. We were placed in the back building, where it seemed people were living, which felt sketchy and unsafe. The front building clearly had rooms available.
