Right in the old town, close to the ferry terminal. We could leave our luggage until the afternoon of departure. Friendly siblings ran the hostel. The fan was adequate for us. Breakfast offered fruit, tea or coffee, ginger‑fruit juice, scrambled eggs, bread, and spreads. The room had many Central European sockets. Wi‑Fi seemed available, but we never got a password and didn’t bother asking because it wasn’t a priority.

I was thrilled from the moment I arrived at Jamala Guesthouse, with the pick‑up on day one arriving precisely on schedule and Baji greeting me in a warm, welcoming way. The central location right between the museum and the main square made my solo itinerary a breeze. Housekeeping left the room spotless and fully equipped, breakfast was fantastic, and the mocktails were a definite highlight. The area feels secure and the price offers great value. I would definitely return!

The place is close to the center and the room is spacious, and the staff were friendly. The décor felt a bit bland, though.

The spot is just a few steps from the ocean, and I really enjoyed the breakfast and their African Tea. The host, Jamala, and staff member Rose were very friendly, and I love the art displayed in the Jamala Guesthouse. Everything was excellent—there’s nothing I didn’t like.
