This was the best hotel for the price among the five I stayed at on my Cotswold Way tour. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly. The bathroom was worn out, the step into my room was dangerous, the stairs were dim and narrow, and there was no bar or evening dining. Two ladies checked out before me because they couldn’t wait any longer. The self‑serve computer system displayed other guests’ names and invoices.

The room was beautiful and very spacious, with a great walk‑in shower and a great location. Parking was limited. The room was a bit warm, the air‑con was noisy, and there was no instant coffee. The filtered coffee didn’t work very well.
