The pool staff were great and the breakfast was tasty, but the hotel feels a bit too far from the restaurants.

The room wasn’t cleaned daily, and the buckets in our room were piled up because garbage wasn’t removed; the breakfast was too basic for the price, the breakfast room was dull and lacked background music, the toilet in the restaurant was dirty with no toilet paper and never cleaned, a dead cockroach had been there for days being eaten by ants, and we think the manager needs someone else to manage her.

The location is just around the corner of Kep beach, the beds are good, the shower works well, we arrived a bit late but were received very friendly, and there’s nothing really negative; the breakfast could maybe have a bit more choices.

I spent 12 nights at the Riviera Hotel & Resort in Kep (Cambodia) and it was an excellent stay that let me fully recover in a calm atmosphere; the property is very clean and perfectly maintained, the rooms are comfortable, air‑conditioned (which was a big plus in the heat) and have a balcony overlooking the pool with chairs, a table and a power outlet so I could work outside the room; the swimming pool and sun loungers are true havens of peace, the place is calm and relaxing with a wonderful sense of easy living, and the hotel provides towels for the pool, which is very convenient; after four months of traveling I finally slept like a baby in a very comfortable bed; the staff is absolutely lovely, especially Kim at the reception who speaks very good English and is always attentive and caring, and Sophorn, the chef, deserves a shout‑out; the breakfasts are generous and delicious, and the hotel restaurant also serves excellent dishes for lunch and dinner, which I ate every evening and enjoyed; in short, an ideal place to rest and enjoy tranquility, and if I return to Cambodia I will definitely come back here without hesitation; the only small downside was that it rained twice during my stay, and even a very good hotel hasn’t yet managed to install a button to stop the rain – which is probably for the best.
