We enjoyed a fantastic 7‑night stay as a group of six attending a wedding in Lagos. The property was spotless, roomy, and comfortable, with stunning hilltop views and a peaceful, secluded vibe. We had the whole upper section of the villa and loved it. The host was amazing—super responsive on WhatsApp, helpful throughout, and very accommodating, even letting us check out later on the last day, which eased things for our group. A car made getting around easy, and even though the outdoor area is shared with downstairs guests, it never caused problems and we had a great experience overall. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning; Portugal was hot, so the rooms warmed up, but fans were provided and opening the windows with the fan drawing in cooler air helped a lot. It was a minor issue compared to an otherwise excellent stay.

The mattress was in bad condition, forming a hollow. The shower was clogged and water didn’t drain properly. There was little toilet paper and no cutlery. The exterior looked very neglected and lacked maintenance. The TV had no channels, only Netflix if we had a personal account.

“Eigentlich sehr schöne Unterkunft”

We were already back for a second visit because we liked it the first time. The accommodation sits on a hill on the edge of Lagos, offering a nice view of the town and sea, especially in the evenings. The surroundings are quiet, and the city or nearest beach is a 5‑minute drive. Apartments on the ground floor are right by a beautifully landscaped pool. Unfortunately, during our stay some things didn’t match our expectations for the price. First, the room was not very clean at check‑in, with many hairs and a dirty duvet cover. Second, on the second day the toilet stopped flushing properly; it was fixed quickly but was still annoying. Third, the clear pool suddenly turned murky and discolored, likely due to pH/chlorine issues, so we stopped using it. After reporting this to the host, someone was apparently sent to look into it. Additionally, the apartment on the first floor has been rented out this year (the former owner lived there two years ago). The host says this unit is mainly booked by groups because of its size. During our stay, a group was very loud (even at night) and occupied almost the entire pool area.

“Un pequeño oasis en Lagos”

The surroundings are great and very calm, the pool is lovely and cozy. Parking is perfect at the front door. Madalina responds super fast and there’s self‑check‑in, so we could enter as soon as we arrived. The bathroom isn’t well ventilated and has odors, but the apartment is very comfortable and spacious. They could add more cutlery and plates; especially some knives are missing.
