“Feine kleine Wohnung für Selbstversorger”

We had a fantastic room with a window, so it was bright and well‑ventilated; we slept soundly on the bed and had plenty of space to store our stuff in the wardrobe. The kitchen was small but well equipped, letting us self‑cook, which is a financial advantage in Hong Kong. Two bathrooms meant we never faced a queue. The other housemates were all very considerate, and the location was ideal because two metro stations were within walking distance, making public transport easy everywhere. Supermarkets were nearby—my tip is to choose Wellcome over 7eleven. WhatsApp communication worked smoothly. The only thing we missed was a toaster for breakfast, but we could still make toast in a pan, so that wasn’t a problem.

Overall, there’s potential, a good location, and public transport gets you anywhere; the area is relatively quiet for Hong Kong, and there’s a kitchen, a hair dryer, etc. However, living like a shared flat, if the occupants aren’t smart, it can get noisy and annoying because they’re thoughtless. The bathrooms and kitchen sometimes become very dirty (thanks to the housemates), the room is fairly small, and there was moldy stuff in the fridge, among other issues.

It’s clean and quiet, just a 5‑minute walk from Austin station, with many food options and supermarkets nearby. One bathroom is too small for some people, but it’s fine for me.

What I liked most was the friendly neighbors; the shared kitchen was handy, the location was decent for getting around, and the room was very clean. Overall, the place was tidy, but it didn’t reach my high cleanliness standards because of my OCD, especially after reading the glowing reviews. The room turned out smaller than expected. The bathrooms and kitchen were okay, but they sometimes had a bad odor. The kitchen utensils looked dirty and old, and I tried cleaning them to no avail. There was no AC in the single room, so I had to share the hall AC, which dripped water and made the temperature fluctuate, leaving me ill on the first night. There were two bathrooms, but one lacked shower water.
