“Great location, but dirty rooms and a breakfast that doesn’t match the description”
The location was the main plus of our stay. We were shown three different rooms, all with many stains on the carpets, making the hotel feel dirty and unhygienic. The windows in our room were warped and broken, so they couldn’t be opened or closed properly. Breakfast was very disappointing compared to the hotel’s description of a slow‑food, regional‑product spread with crusty farmhouse bread, homemade jam, and fresh garden herbs by the lake. What we actually received were white rolls and factory‑made bread, machine‑sliced cold cuts, and jam and other spreads in single‑portion packs—nothing local or homemade. The selection was dull with very little variety, and the scrambled eggs were grey and unappetising. Overall, the location can’t compensate for the poor cleanliness, lack of maintenance, and breakfast that falls far short of what’s advertised. The hotel needs a thorough cleaning and basic repairs before I could recommend it.
