The location is very convenient with historic buildings and a metro station nearby for both walks and city travel; the rooms were cleaned thoroughly and regularly, and I appreciated the Pu'er tea, the modern heated toilet with all amenities, and the tasty breakfasts. Special thanks to the reception staff—both the girls and the guy were very friendly and responsive. The room I received had no windows, and the noise level was very high—neighbors coughed all night. The shower had a constant strong cigarette smell, apparently coming from the adjacent room, and at night rats ran across the ceiling, which was the most unpleasant part. The TV is paid, and there are no good free channels.

The rooms are very modern, spacious, and clean. Unfortunately, Chinese guests do not respect the non‑smoking designation and smoke everywhere, which is a common problem in all local hotels in China. Make sure you spend a bit more to get a room with an outdoor window.

The hotel is ideal for an overnight stop, with plenty to do, many dining options, and the Plaza right across the street. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms have just been modernised and are very comfortable, and the breakfast was good.
