Nothing to say, we couldn’t stay there because the property was closed. The establishment was shut, and the night before we had to find another place. It would be essential for Booking to be aware of such situations to avoid people arriving at a closed door.

I arrived at a locked door with a chain and called the owner, who told me he hadn’t rented a room in a long time. I never received a cancellation email from Booking, so I had to find a replacement room that same evening because we were on a bike tour.

Nothing except the kindness of the student who welcomed us. The park was abandoned with broken garden furniture and a pile of old materials everywhere. The accommodation smelled damp, lacked comfort, was dirty and probably not up to standards; breakfast was awful (fluffy, bad croissants probably stored in plastic). The whole place looked abandoned and unsettling. We were alone. I think Booking’s team should visit to inspect.

The originality and the private tour of the castle and park were nice. The price‑quality ratio, the misleading website about the property’s condition, lack of cleanliness and maintenance, broken equipment, mold in the room and bathroom were all disappointing.
