Although it was an overnight stay, the facility was well presented.
The staff were very professional and friendly. At check‑in we received a bottle of wine in the room, and at the end of the stay the receptionist offered us another bottle as a courtesy for the mini‑honeymoon we were celebrating. We wanted to use the pool on arrival, but it was quite small, both the pool (in width and depth) and the surrounding area with loungers and umbrellas were smaller than the Booking photos suggested. In the bathroom there was a loose drain and the wall hook wasn’t very well screwed, showing a bit of neglect. The hotel is in the centre of Lixa, but there’s nothing there… we went out the first night to find a restaurant for dinner and it was full. We ended up at a pizzeria, but there weren’t many other options. The room window had curtains and blinds, but even with the blinds closed, the darker curtain wasn’t blackout, so a lot of light came in in the morning. The breakfast variety was good, but we waited a long time for eggs and bacon to be restocked, and when they were the bacon wasn’t very well cooked; the coffee machine was broken, but a staff member promptly served us coffee from the bar. In our view the hotel doesn’t offer fair prices for what we found.

The room was excellent with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. Everything was very clean and well organised. The pool area and the pool itself look very different from the photos, and the pool is small and seems old.
