The building I stayed in was in bad shape: paint was peeling, the door was hard to close, and there were stains in the shower.

The location by the lagoon is beautiful. The old hotel could use a refreshing touch.

If you’re starting the Pondo Trail, this spot works; the staff were lovely and friendly, but it was cold and damp, the TV didn’t work, soap dispensers were empty in the bathrooms, and there were lots of electrical hazards.
