The location was convenient and the staff were friendly, but the bathroom felt very old‑fashioned with chipped toilet seats and appliances that look like they haven’t been updated since the 90s. The bed was the most uncomfortable one I’ve slept in, and the key locks were extremely difficult to use. The toilet paper was of very poor quality, and for almost $500 a night I expected a lot more.

Cleggs is exactly what it says on the tin—right in the middle of a lively, sometimes noisy area, and the bathrooms are shared. That worked fine for us. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the location next to the ferry was very convenient.

The host is really nice to talk to and as helpful as can be, and that’s pretty much the only good thing we have to say about the hotel besides the convenience of being right in front of the ferries. Check‑in was not smooth; there isn’t always someone available even during the very limited designated hours (12‑4). Drunk guests can be aggressive. There is a lot of noise from the street at night until 1‑2 am, which is expected given the central location but still not great for sleep. The shared bathrooms are shared between all rooms, so they can get messy. The rooms are equipped with only the beds and a small table that’s unusable (no space), not even a chair. All in all, it’s extremely expensive for what you get.

I usually don’t like shared bathrooms, but this property has amazing ones and they are ALWAYS clean. I don’t know what they do, but they are always spotless. The location is great and the staff are friendly. I think it would be cool to have a TV in the rooms.
