The staff and location were good for day trips, but the city setting was in a pretty ugly side street with many bars and beaches nearby, causing morning noise. The beach 30 m away is tiny, crowded in good weather, full of rocks, so you have to watch your step when swimming. Restaurants offered little menu variety and sometimes poor quality. We always ended up heading to the right side for better, less aggressive service and quality. I had no choice but to pick this location. The hotel website misrepresented it! In the nearby villages, a 10‑minute drive by car offers a totally different vibe—busy at night with a nice, cozy atmosphere. The food was great and often cheaper for a tasty meal, still feeling like Greece; at the lower coast, people even speak Dutch.
