The staff at the guesthouse were friendly, even helping with our bags when we arrived, and the surrounding farms kept things peaceful. The weather in Shaxi stayed under 30 °C, making it a solid spot for a summer break, and the shuttle to the old town was convenient, though the town itself can get a bit crowded. We ended up preferring the quiet of the B&B at night, sipping tea in the courtyard while the stars came out—really relaxing.
