The design is funky and the space is used well, but I didn’t stay long enough to enjoy it fully.

The location and the hotel pool, lounge and kitchen area were fantastic. The room was advertised (both and the Marriott website) for 3 people. The description indicated a King Bed and a Murphy bed. There were no pictures or description of the Murphy bed. We assumed it was a typical Murphy that pulled out into the floor. It turned out that the Murphy bed was a bunk bed over the King Bed. It was not long enough to fit a person who was 5’ 6”. The ladder to get up kept slipping and was unstable. It had thin, metal rods and was very difficult to climb. It was uncomfortable and dangerous, even if it had been a child. There is also a leak in the shower that drips all night due to the AC setup. I went over all of this with the administrator, who was dismissive…and only after several conversations gave us $170 off the room, which didn’t make a dent in the $750/night stay. NO PICTURES, NO DESCRIPTION, DANGEROUS sleeping setup, and unfortunate, because the hotel facilities and location were excellent

This hotel sits right on a freeway, so you’re constantly hearing the roar of traffic; the bathroom layout is such that you can’t sit on the toilet with the shower door closed, there’s no headboard—just two pillows propped against the wall that fall on your head while you sleep—and no dresser or closet; it’s far too expensive for what it offers.

Everything we wanted to do in the Funk Zone and at the beach is a short walk away, the rooms we booked had no freeway or train noise, and the staff were friendly, but there was no mini‑fridge in the rooms.

I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel's fantastic location, which allowed me to walk to all the nearby attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the bartender created some of the best cocktails I've ever had. My room was perfect, meeting all my expectations for a comfortable stay. The fact that check-out was at noon was the cherry on top of an already excellent experience.
