Le Royal Resort- By the Beach

Good place, superb city. The administration was the worst, and the reception staff behaved very poorly.

The resort was well located, clean, and the people were friendly. We did not get breakfast, the multicusine restaurant facility does not exist, and for dinner we had to travel nearly 4 km one way, which somewhat takes the fun out of a holiday.

The breakfast was amazing, and even though renovations were underway it was a wonderful stay; the staff were friendly, especially Mr. Siva and Mr. Naresh who took great care of us, and we loved the stay and the view.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed, clean linens, and a decent second‑floor bathroom. A kettle and fridge were provided, and the location was ideal—just a short walk from the heritage sites. Unfortunately, there was no on‑site restaurant, the Wi‑Fi failed, and the cleanliness felt only “Indian standard” – floors swept but other surfaces dusty and poorly maintained. I first received a room with an AC that didn’t work properly and a very small bathroom.

“Lieu excentrique et coloré mais loin d’être 1 hôtel.”

The place is well situated for visiting the Fort, the seafront, and its temple, and you can walk along the coast to see the fishing boats. The reception was incompetent, the room assignment was wrong, the site was confusing, and it feels more like a family holiday spot.
