Nishan Villa

“This place is basic and basically perfect! I recommend it whole heartedly”

Nishan is a gentleman; I was volunteering with We Care and his villa sits on the quieter end of the beach. The basic facilities are clean, comfortable, and have everything you could need. Nishan’s family are wonderful, kind, and thoughtful. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. I stayed for 5 weeks on my first visit and have returned twice. It isn’t The Four Seasons, but it’s a complete bargain for what it is. The only drawback is that it’s a little hard to spot from the roadside at first.

The host’s welcome was kind and friendly, but the room was dirty and the bathroom was very old. The front doors were under construction.

If you’re looking for a stay in a quiet village, this could be a nice option. The villa is close to the beach, supermarkets are right next to it, and there are several restaurants—all within walking distance. The price‑quality ratio is excellent, and there’s a kitchen available for you. I had no disappointments here and didn’t even have to deal with mosquitoes in the bedroom.

I could cook in the kitchen and the internet was excellent. A big thank you to Nishan's Mother for always caring for me with complimentary grated coconut and a nice helping of jackfruit. Don’t miss this place when you’re in Thalalla.
