“Cosy cabin located in the back garden of a friendly local pub”
The pub was friendly, the beer was great, and the home‑cooked food was good.

Everything was excellent. The hospitality was great, the accommodation amazing, the location quiet, the food lovely, and the Rhubarb Cider very good. Thank you Tom & Helen for a wonderful stay.

The overall vibe was very good. The staff and other patrons were friendly and chatty. We dined there on two of the three days and it was excellent both times. The beer menu is extensive, and the pub is working hard to be a community hub. Nothing really stood out as negative. The cabins—there are two—are cute, a bit small, but fine for our three‑day stay.

The hosts were excellent. Tom ran the bar, was very knowledgeable about his beers, and kept a quality selection plus five rotating guest beers. The beer was fab, and it was a joy to spend time in a proper pub run by this great team. The food was freshly made to order and reasonably priced. The cabin we stayed in was a bit tired and could use a refurb, but we were very comfortable, had everything we needed, and paid a decent price. There is a lot of roadwork around the area because of the Sizewell C project, but don’t let that deter you—this is a gem of a pub run by the best people and deserves to thrive. Small pubs like this need our support or else we lose them.

The pub was solid, offering real ales and decent food, and Tom, the landlord, was genuinely helpful. Its location was ideal for reaching the coast, and a pleasant 25‑minute stroll down a country lane led to the eels foot pub opposite, which was a highlight.
