Everything was very clean, the price was excellent, and the breakfast was good. The location is ideal for high alpine lakes, and the area around Duppach is quiet and pretty (Eicholzmaar, Drees, etc.); the price is unbeatable. The hosts were super friendly. The toilet and shower were on the hallway because it’s an old building, but that’s fine for the price.

A nice, no-nonsense pension with clean beds and a clean shower and toilet at a very friendly price. Marloes is a great host! We were traveling through with our large dog.

The location is great. The pension is about 6 km behind Steffeln, a nice place to stay if you’re hiking the Felsenweg 4 or the Vulkanpfad.

A nice, simple inn with original themed rooms, a great hearty breakfast, and good value for money, though some areas need renovation.

The owner/gentlewoman was incredibly friendly; the breakfast was very extensive and fresh, especially for the price of a night’s stay, but as others noted it’s just a typical German pension, a bit dated, yet fine for a simple overnight.
